Strawberry Dessert Pizza

This Strawberry Fruit Pizza is made with sugar cookie dough topped with a cream cheese layer, fresh strawberries and a strawberry glaze!
July 4th is tomorrow. Do you need a quick, easy and festive dessert for you holiday get-to-gether? I was challenged by Walmart to come up with an easy dessert for your July 4th celebration. I knew immediately which dessert that I wanted to make, my favorite Strawberry Dessert Pizza.

Strawberry Dessert Pizza is just a spin on a traditional fruit pizza. What I love most about fruit pizza's is just how versatile they are. You can make the cookie crust and cream cheese filling and then use any combination of fruits that you like. When I think of Independence Day red, white and blue come to mind.

This recipe can be made with all strawberries, but feel free to add a few blueberries to complete the patriotic color scheme. I chose to leave off the blueberries because my kids love plain strawberries.

This recipe only requires a handful of ingredients making it easy to make. If you need a last minute July 4th themed dessert I hope you will try this one because I know you will love it.

If you cannot find store bought Strawberry Glaze (found in the produce section). I have included a recipe for a homemade version. Click here for the recipe. It is the same glaze I use to make my favorite Strawberry Pie.

Enjoy and I hope everyone has a happy and safe Independence Day!

Thank you so much for sharing this, Tina, and for all of your recipes.
I made 2 different 4th of July "Fruit Flag Pizzas" this morning for Sunday School.
For the college class, it ended up being like a tart, because I used Pillsbury pie crusts, instead of cookie dough, and I used the mixture of cream cheese and marshmallow cream.
For the youth, I made what I had created for my son, who doesn't eat white flour cakes or cookies.
It was just a layer of peanut butter, and then strawberries, bananas and blueberries to make a flag. I am going to try doing this one with a peanut butter cookie crust next time,
and I am going to try your recipe with the strawberry glaze!
Happy 4th of July to you and your family!
I love a quick and easy dessert idea, especially one as cute as this. :)

Thanks for the cool recipes. This is my first time here. I can't wait to try the taco salad this week for dinner. BTW, I wouldn't post an anonymous comment if the person isn't going to put their name on it. Those kind of people are cowards. I'll be sure to visit your site again for dinner ideas.

I don't have a pizza pan. Could I use a baking dish instead?

You could use a 9x13 inch baking dish. The cookie part just me be a bit thicker than pictured on the pizza pan.

Is the sugar regular or powder sugar? Looks yummy!

Although I can see the merits of using a strawberry glaze, I personally don't like glazes because I think they are too sweet. (Just my own personal opinion) do you think it would be alright for this recipe to use a strawberry puree?

I used to make this frequently, It is so good. I put a layer of banana slices on the cream cheese layer, then strawberries. Then cover the whole thing with the strawberry glaze, and sprinkle crushed pineapple (drained very well)on top of the glaze. Delicious.
So delicious.........Strawberry Dessert Pizza is one of my favorite. Thanks for sharing this post!!!

This was very good! I was worried it would be too sweet and it definitely wasn't. I used the homemade sugar cookie recipe and the homemade glaze as well. In the glaze I used a large package of sugar-free Jello. I lined the pizza pan with parchment. The "pizza" cut like a dream and could be held to be eaten as well. Thanks!

The recipe lists regular sugar (granulated sugar).
