Our local grocery store had Pillsbury Crescent Rolls on sale the other day. They were marked down so low it seemed like we were stealing them instead of buying them. They were on sale because they were due to expire within a week so my wheels were spinning in my head of all the fun recipes we can make with those little guys. (so papilla cheesecake, cream cheese crescents, taco roll ups, nacho pie and cinnamon twists the ideas are endless.) I walked out with 15 -20 can's of the Pillsbury Crescent rolls they were the 4 count size, but priced at .05 each what a steal!!!!! I love finding great deals like that. Well the first thing we did was the cinnamon crescents they are so yummy and so easy to prepare in a pinch. I can't decide if i like regular cinnamon rolls or the cinnamon crescents better. I don't have any exact measurements it's the kind of thing that you just eye ball it on the ingredients to your liking, so lets get started.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees while you prepare the crescents.
Unroll the crescent rolls and separate into triangles. Butter each one with margarine.
Grab a helper or do this by yourself. Sprinkle Cinnamon Sugar all over each triangle as much as you like there are no rules here.
Shake Shake Shake, Shake Shake Shake all over.... Carson is doing such a great job. I had a hard time getting him to stop adding all that cinnamon sugar he kept saying more mom!!
Roll up each triangle from the widest part to the smallest point and place about 1 inch apart on a greased baking sheet. You can sprinkle the tops of each with more cinnamon sugar if you like it's really up to you.
place on the top rack of the oven and bake at 350 for about 9-12 minutes or until golden brown and each crescent is cooked. Cool and frost.
I just whip up a simple powdered sugar glaze to drizzle over each crescent. Start with about
1 1/2 - Cups Powdered Sugar, 1tsp Vanilla Extract, 1- tsp margarine and a couple tsp of Milk.
Mix all the ingredients together until it is a smooth consistency where you are able to drizzle it over each crescent.
