When I get in a ground beef stump this Quick Ground Beef Stroganoff is usually what I make. It's really simple to prepare and taste so good. If you're looking to get a hot meal on the table in no time this is the recipe. I can always depend on this dish to turn out every time it's actually a no fail dish in my book.
It's very versatile and can be served not only over noodles but rice or mashed potatoes as well. I cant even remember for the life of me where I got this recipe. It's one of those recipes you just have stuck in the back of your head somewhere and you remember all the ingredients.

Mushrooms being a big one, but I gotta have my mushrooms in Stroganoff it just wouldn't be the same if i didn't add them. The way I see it if you don't like them you can pick them out. Why should mama have to suffer, I mean really I'm the one slaving over the stove preparing all this yummy food LOL.
Brown & cook hamburger with chopped onion, salt and pepper. While the meat is browning start the noodles, rice or mashed potatoes.
Drain off grease drippings.
add the cream of mushroom soup & prepared gravy mix (according to package directions) to the drained hamburger. Stir over low - medium heat.
Add the sour cream and mushrooms and mix until thoroughly blended into the gravy mixture.
Just add a vegetable and hot rolls or even a salad and you have a great tasting meal that you can whip up in a flash.

1 - 10.5 oz can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 - packet brown gravy mix
1 - cup water
1/2 - cup sour cream
2 - tbsp. chopped onion
salt & pepper (to taste)
4 - ounces fresh mushrooms or use canned
egg noodles, rice or mashed potatoes
