Easter Oreo Cookie Pops {Easy Peasy}

How to make Easter Oreo Cookie Pops! Our adorable chocolate dipped Oreo Cookie Pops are the perfect party favor or treat for your next Easter get-together
Today I wanted to share a easy Easter Treat with y'all. It's hard to believe that Easter is almost here, but it is. This means that summer isn't far behind. Where has all the time gone? We love to celebrate just about any holiday that rolls around.

Mostly because it gives me an excuse to whip up a fun and yummy treat. Usually when I'm thinking of a treat to make I try to keep it as easy and affordable as possible. This way the kids can help out and we have plenty to share with teachers and friends.

When Walmart asked me to share a sweet treat for Easter these Oreo Cookie Pops immediately came to mind. Oreo Cookie Pops are definitely easy, fun and affordable. I have made these in the past several times and everyone always loves them.

I mean who doesn't love a Oreo cookie dipped in chocolate attached to a stick. I don't know about you, but for me there is just something about things on a stick that make them so fun and tasty. The best part is that these cookies pops can easily be adapted to any holiday.

I purchased the regular Double Stuffed Oreo's for the cookie pops and the Golden Vanilla Oreos to make a few regular
dipped cookies. This way I had a variety to share with everyone.  Pick which ever flavor you like best. I dipped the vanilla Oreos in milk chocolate as well as the plain vanilla and the same with the regular Oreo's cookies that we had left over.

Here's a quick run down on just how easy these Oreo cookie pops are to make. Start by inserting one lollipop stick into the cream filling of each Oreo. This can be a bit tricky because the cookie can crack and break.

To prevent any cracking I lay the cookies on a plate and place them in the microwave on the defrost setting for 10 seconds. This softens the cream filling so the stick slides in easily and the cookie won't crack. After all the lollipop sticks have been inserted lay them on a baking sheet lined with wax paper or foil.

Melt the vanilla and chocolate bark in two separate microwave safe bowls. You can use a double boiler or melt in the microwave on the DEFROST setting. I melt the chocolate in 3 minute intervals until the chocolate is melted and smooth when stirred.

Dip one cookie pop into melted chocolate, letting top of cookie rest on bottom of bowl for support. Spoon melted chocolate over cookie to coat. Lift and let any remaining chocolate drip of the each cookie. Transfer to lined baking sheet and add festive sprinkles. Leave the cookie pops on the baking sheet until the chocolate hardens.

I added one cookie pop to each cookie bag and tied on a pretty ribbon. For the plain dipped cookies I added 3-4 cookies to each decorative bag. All of the supplies needed to make these cookie pops can be found in the Easter and cake decorating isle of your local Walmart.

This is such a fun and easy treat to make for Easter. I know both of my kiddos teachers and friends will love these. There's nothing more meaningful than getting a treat that someone has taken the time to make especially for them.
What sweet treats are you whipping up for Easter?

You need to make sure you are using the double stuff oreos for this recipe. Also you will need to put the cookies on a plate and put them on the defrost setting on your microwave for 10 seconds. This will help the stick slide into the cream filling.
