Sloppy Joe Pasta Skillet

A tasty Sloppy Joe inspired beef noodle skillet meal that your whole family is sure to love. Add Rhodes Warm-N-Serve Rolls to complete the meal!
It's officially the first day of November which means it's time to start planning for Thanksgiving. I like to get an early start, so I already have a few things prepared and waiting in the freezer. With all the chaos of the holiday season trying to get dinner on the table every night can sometimes be a challenge. Well, I'm here to tell you it doesn't have to be!

With a just a little planning and a few simple meals you can avoid dinner chaos, microwave meals and surrendering to the fast food line or take out. The key to stress free dinnertime is planning a menu with simple meals, so you can still enjoy the holiday season and get a hot meal on the table at the same time.

This is where today's recipe for this Sloppy Joe Pasta Skillet comes into play. If you love traditional Sloppy Joe's than you're going to love this tasty pasta skillet meal that combines all the flavors of your favorite Sloppy Joe's. This pasta recipe is quick, easy and perfect to help you get dinner on the table in about 30 minutes.

Pair this skillet meal with a vegetable, salad and Rhodes Warm-N-Serve Rolls to complete the meal! I love these rolls and they're so convenient. They're perfect for an everyday meal and fancy enough for a holiday dinner. The best part is that Rhodes Warm-N-Serve Rolls are partially baked, so there's no thawing, no rising and no waiting.

Just simply pull them out of the freezer, place them on baking sheet and you'll have hot, fluffy rolls ready in minutes. These rolls are perfect reheated the next day and also make wonderful Sloppy Joe Sliders, so you see there's another quick dinner meal for the holiday season. Let's get started on the recipe and the step-by-step instructions.

In a 10-12 inch skillet, cook the ground beef  or turkey, onion and green peppers over medium high heat, breaking the meat up as it cooks. Cook until meat is no longer pink.

While the meat cooks, boil the Rotini pasta according to package directions until al dente (about 5-7) minutes. Drain pasta.

Drain off any grease from the meat. Season the meat with salt, pepper, onion powder and garlic powder to taste. Add the Sloppy Joe sauce, fire roasted tomatoes, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce and barbecue sauce. Stir to combine.

Bring the mixture to a boil over medium high heat, then reduce heat and simmer the mixture for 10 -15 minutes.

Add the drained pasta and stir to combine. Simmer for an additional 5 minutes, so the pasta is heated through.

Sprinkle with cheese (optional) and serve.

My family loves sloppy joes, but I have never thought to try adding pasta like this. I’ll have to make this for them one day.

This reminds me of a similar meal I used to make when my kids were teenagers. Without fail, I'd have mine to feed, along with five or six other kids who happened to be over. It was a perfect meal for hungry kids. Delicious, easy, and balanced. I couldn't have asked for more. x

This looks amazing! I will definately give it a try!
I hope I will manage as I am not a great cook!

Pasta is something the kids love. This recipe uses Pasta very skilfully with skillet to make a healthy and filling meal. It is a complete meal by itself, I am sure.

I love the quick and easy take on Sloppy Joes. Using pasta instead of the bread would make a little less mess in our house since the kids wouldn’t insist on using hands!

My daughter would love the sloppy joe part of it. And we both really love the spiral noodles. It just all looks absolutely delicious. And I am always looking for good meals to be had with my daughter and we like to try out new things.
