My Texas Table - My Favorite No Bake Summer Treats

 Happy Sunday Friends!

When the Texas temps reach scorching levels, there's nothing more refreshing than a cool and creamy dessert, homemade ice cream or a slice of ice box cake! If there's one thing I've learned about  summer in the south it's best to use the oven as little as possible. Unfortunately, our sweet -tooth knows no season and to keep you from going without dessert today I'm sharing some of my favorite no-bake desserts and treats.

In this months issue of My Texas Table you'll find ice box cakes, no-bake cookies, refreshing pies and frozen treats to help you beat the summer heat all season long. I hope y'all find something you like. ❤ Click on each of the titles below and you'll be taken directly to the recipe you're interested in. From there you can read more about the recipe,  find out the ingredients and look through the instructions.

My Favorite No Bake Summer Treats

These are the recipes that are getting the most views on the blog.
This No Bake Patriotic Cake was the most viewed recipe over on the blog this month. This quick and easy no bake cake starts with store bought pound cake (Walmart's Bakery Pound Cake is my favorite), a homemade strawberry glaze, and a creamy whipped cream/cream cheese filling and topped with fresh blueberries and chopped strawberries. I have made this no bake cake with just strawberries and it's equally delicious. Click here to get the full recipe.

Recipes that I found online (not mine) that I can't wait to share with you.
A couple weeks back, I came across this No Bake Lemon Pie and this simple Dump & Bake Parmesan Chicken while scrolling through my Facebook feed. I'm always on the look out for new dinner meals so this cheesy chicken bake sounds delicious. Also, since we're talking about no bake desserts today, this No Bake Lemon pie looks so refreshing and full of lemon flavor. Nothing beats the heat better than an ice cold glass of Lemonade, but not just any lemonade in our house it has to be lemonade using real lemons. Making Homemade Lemonade is really simple and also a delicious way to enjoy summer. Fresh lemon juice combined with a simple syrup makes up this easy classic Old -Fashioned Lemonade.   Click here to view the full recipe.

What my family is eating this month and my current menu plan.
Summer is in full swing here in North Texas!  My vegetable garden is currently overflowing with summer veggies, so I have quite a few meals using fresh green beans, potatoes and summer squash. Click here to view our July Menu Plan  and to see what my family is eating this month.
