This homemade cheeseburger macaroni is made in under 30 minutes and taste sooooooooo much better than the boxed stuff. I like to double and triple the recipe to make up dry mixes to store in my pantry.
If you're looking for an quick and easy weeknight meal, this Cheeseburger Macaroni fits the bill. Seasoned ground beef, tender pasta, and spices all blended together with melted cheddar cheese. This simple one pot pasta meal uses homemade ingredients that you probably already have in your pantry.
Trust me, you can't go wrong with an easy, homemade skillet supper. From start to finish you can have dinner on the table in under 30 minutes, and you will be so surprised at how much better this recipe taste versus the boxed stuff.
The best part about this recipe is that you can prepare a few of these hamburger helper mixes in advance and store them in your pantry. I like to use pint size mason jars, but zip lock bags work just as well. Just add all of the dry ingredients along with the pasta to a jar or bag and add a label with directions.
That's it!!!! Now you have a few quick and easy pasta meals on hand, so you can prepare dinner in a pinch. Just add ground beef, water, milk and shredded cheddar cheese. Lets get started and I will show you how easy this recipe came together.
In a large skillet over medium - high heat add the ground beef. Crumble and cook the ground beef until browned. Drain off any grease.
Add the pasta and all of the dry ingredients.
Add the water and the milk.
Cover the skillet and cook until the pasta is tender and all the liquid is almost absorbed.
Stir in 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese just before serving.

I like to make up individual Hamburger Helper mix jars by combining all of the dry ingredients including the pasta into pint size mason jars.
Label with directions add the lids and store in your pantry. If I don't have mason jars on hand, you can use zip lock bags. When you want to use them just brown up your hamburger, drain off any grease, add the milk, water and the contents of 1 jar mix and finish off with cheddar cheese.

I put my dry ingredients in mason jars, made labels with list of ingredients and the instructions and taped right to the jar.
My daughter wanted to try it one day so I just went to the pantry and pulled out a ready made mixture and gave it to her and now her 11 year daughter makes it.
Have an enjoyable weekend Tina
